Had a fun morning at  the first annual American Cancer Society BARK FOR LIFE event at Outback. Lots of cute dogs and beautiful weather! Check out these photos and plan to come next year!

Ouch! There goes another little piece of my heart! How come I moaned about how little they were and how long it would take them to be adoptable and now it’s WAAAAY to soon to have to let go? But let go I will. This little group of charmers will be at Pet Supplies “Plus” after August 26. They are fixed and ready  to learn about their forever family. Their mom will be ready in a few weeks, too.

More fun that a barrel of monkeys! Come out to Pet Supplies Plus in Niles, OH and meet Chowder, Finn and Flapjack! Lovingly raised in a foster home. They are fixed and ready to make someone’s house a home.

Only sixteen more days to go out to Ponderosa (Elm Road) and help us fix Trumbull County critters! We’ll get 10% of your tab if you bring in a picture of your pet to post on the bulletin board or just tell the cashier you want to help the animals.

I want to thank the manager, Carolyn, for being so helpful and generous with her time and ideas this month. She truly cares about Trumbull County and its residents and is a bundle of enthusiasm.

The other employees have brought in pictures of their pets and have been a lot of fun to talk to about their pets. They look great in their teal t-shirts that say “Don’t Litter-Fix Your Critter!” You’re going to want one!

If you haven’t been to Ponderosa for a while, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. In addition to the steaks you would expect, they have a great buffet selection. You can just get the buffet and really fill up with old fashioned comfort foods! I love the wings and  cheesy broccoli and rice, and my husband has pigged out on, of all things, beanie weenie! Don’t even get me started on the desserts!

Next Saturday from 10AM to 3PM there will be a rummage sale in the back parking lot and an outdoor concession stand! So come on out and have lunch and find a bargain you didn’t know you needed!

Cats Are People,Too! volunteers will be there from 10AM to 2PM!

Stop by and see pictures of the kittens we’ll have for adoption at Pet Supplies Plus, meet the volunteers and purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win a cute doggie swing, stuffed dog and dog toys.

Glad to hear from Tiger Boy. Looks like he’s quite comfortable in his new place!

Come out to Ponderosa on Elm Road and have lunch today from 11-2pm!

Bingo and Bernie will be there, as well as some other furry friends. We’ll be in the back parking lot. Buy a raffle ticket for one of our fantastic cat or dog baskets and pick up a t-shirt for just ten dollars. Bring a picture of your pet to put on the Wall of Pets inside the restaurant! Tell us about your pets! We love to hear your stories.

Come out to Pet Supplies and meet this bunch. Lovingly raised in a foster home. Sweet and healthy! Why not take two for so much fun it ought to be illegal! Adoption fee is $85 for one and $100 for two! Their mom is also available and looks like the kitten with the beautiful swirl on it’s side. She’s just a kid herself and needs TLC now and for the rest of her life. Adoption fee for cats over six months is $30.

Life is good!

Here’s a recent picture of Iris with her little family. She’s a super mom to these three rascals. They are eating solid food now but still like to snuggle and nurse when mom lets them. Mom is eating as much as she can and her fur is getting softer. She’s still a little too thin, but hopefully she’ll fill out once the babies are grown. The absolute best thing about fostering kittens can be summed up in this picture. Adorable moments like this one happen all day long. The cute things the kittens do would melt anyone’s heart. This bunch should be ready in September.

August has finally arrived and we are hoping a lot of people will take advantage of this opportunity to help us raise much needed funds by going to Ponderosa and eating heartily! We will share 10% of all proceeds this month with TNR of Warren and Friends of Paws. That should help us fix even more cats and kittens (and dogs) in September! Remember to bring a picture of your pet to give to the cashier and get a raffle ticket and a  chance to win a cat or dog raffle basket. You can also enter the raffle by having a flyer. The flyers are available at Pet Supplies “Plus”, Niles Vet Clinic, Dr. Fritsch’s office and the Steel Valley Spay and Neuter clinic, or from any of our volunteers. Great looking t-shirts are available to purchase and we will also get 50% of the proceeds from their sale!

Come out August 7th for lunch from 11-2pm.  We’ll be in the back parking lot with a few kittens and dogs for adoption as well as other fun activities for kids. We love to hear from our adopters!

On August 14, King Brothers will be there with some great cars to show you, and on August 21, TNR of Warren will be having a rummage sale. Lots of treasures you can pick up before or after your lunch!
